About the Band
James Buddy Rogers (JBR) is a JUNO-nominated blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his soulful tone and powerful live sound. His new album, Covered in Blues, brings it all full circle — a raw, no-frills record that captures the true sound of his live trio. Featuring Bill Price on bass and Kevin Belzner on drums, the album was engineered by Steve Gerard, mixed and mastered by Graham Torn, and produced by Rogers himself. Every track was recorded straight from the heart — real, unpolished, and rooted in the kind of blues that can’t be faked.
