Review of Album Ain't Done Yet

Brit blues stalwart turned upstate New Yorker Kim Simmonds in turns laments those departed on the track “Borrowed Time” and celebrates his own perseverance on this set’s title track.  And that determination here results in a steady-as-she-goes procession of solid work highlighted by the guitarist/bandleader’s solos which adorn the blues with a distinctive sense of mature craftsmanship.  In addition to the afore-mentioned tracks “Devil’s Highway”, “All Gone Wrong” and “Feel Like A Gypsy” stand out.
