Review of Album Headwaters

 

Before one even gets to sifting through his verses, there’s a very good chance Jason Tyler Burton has pulled one in with a quietly compelling vocal delivery and graceful, sparing instrumental backup.  The result is an incandescent atmosphere for which the singer/multi-instrumentalist’s lyrics are an ideal match.   Standouts include “Fly”, “Silver Linings” and the title track.
