Guitarist/vocalist Joe Lewis’s tough, tight trio format proves an ideal vehicle for his song-centric blues rock, packaging very ear-catching lyrical fare with the right amount of open space for the Mississippi-bred axeman’s fluid and frequently fiery instrumental play.  Punchy funk statements “I Like It” and “Hot Lovin’ Momma” should garner attention as well as the borderline-pop track, “Can I Get With You”.
