Review of Album Restless Mind

 

Mr. Coryell fires on all cylinders, track after track, with strong originals, his reliably soulful vocals and subtly dazzling, fluid solos.  Closing with a classic cover, Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On”, serves to show how well the guitar-slinger’s own writing stands up.  Much airplay-deserving fare here including “Kiss Me First”, “Tag Along” and the title track.
