Mike Zito continues to drop ear-catching soul- and blues-rockers with a seeming ease and reliable lyrical instincts.  The prolific guitarist/singer/songwriter’s own work sits well here alongside inspired-sounding covers of JJ Cale’s “I’ll Make Love To You” and the Clapton classic “Presence of the Lord”.  Standout originals include  “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “Dreaming Of You” and the co-write with Guy Hale, “Running Man”.
