With splendidly rough-hewn vocals and very respectable blues chops at his disposal, Canadian guitarist Brandon Isaak ups the ante with his quite convincing roots-grounded song crafting; frequently side-stepping from the blues into period jazz and good-timey regions and always brimming with personality.  Standouts include “Lost Love and Loose Women”, “One Too Many Blues” and “Back To New Orleans”.
