Review of Album Set the Record

This tough, tight three-piece outfit packs lots of first-rate music into their very song-centric debut set.  Keyboardist Jeff Rogers’ soulful, blue-collar vocal delivery is an ideal vehicle for a slew of ear-grabbing fare and guitarist JW Jones and drummer Jamie Holmes fill out a right-to-the-point sound that suitably showcases the trio’s impressive song list.  Soul-rockers “Hard As I Can” and “A Little Goes A Long Way” stand out as do the ballad “Stay Crazy” and the title track.  An early “Best Of The Year” candidate.
