Review of Album Live at the King Eddy

Guitarist Matthew Rogers and vocalist/blues harpist Shawn Hall display their masterful and extremely appealing weave of blues savvy and razor-sharp song crafting in this “live” set, serving up numerous ear-catching lyrical hooks atop their equally infectious roots-bound grooves.  The Vancouver-based duo gets top-notch support from vocalists Dawn Pemberton and Andrina Turenne and keyboardist Geoff Hilhorst.  Standouts include “Do Whatcha”, “Pretty Please” and the decidedly single-entendre “Sarah”.
