Review of Album Among the Insanity

Skylar Rogers backs up her hard charging lyric sets with like-spirited vocals, adorned with appropriate edge and urgency on tracks in including the knockout leadoff here, “Love In The Left Lane” and the follow-up title track.  The Chicago-bred Ms. R then turns the emotional table, delivering vulnerability- and a whole lot of ballad savvy- on “One Last Kiss”. Rockers “Blame It on Rock & Roll”, solo penned by production partner and bassist Terry Wilson, and “Step It Up” stand out as well.
