Review of Album Best of Me

While fretboard dazzle and rockin’ band work is abundantly dosed throughout this set, Joanna Connor’s ballad posture may still take top honors. The Worcester MA-bred, Chicago-nurtured guitarist’s heart-piercing vocal on the title track- propelled by a nicely arranged band workup – make it this set’s top track.  Other standouts include “Pain and Pleasure”, “All I Want Is You” and “Shadow Lover”.  Guests include Joe Bonamassa and Jason Ricci.
