Culled from on-tour recordings of a 2020 vintage, these tracks make the case for 60’s soul-rock icon Mitch Ryder’s enduring vocal punch, punctuated on occasion with a signature reach into upper ranges.  Frequently supported by high-energy, guitar-heavy backup reminiscent of his Detroit Wheels days, Mr. Ryder works out on an interesting selection of covers including Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues” and “From A Buick 6”, Jimmy Cliff’s “Many Rivers to Cross” and The Fabulous Thunderbirds’ hit “Tuff Enough”.
