Dori Freeman’s knack for plainspoken lyrics and nimble melodies shape-shift seamlessly from folk to country to roots-bound hybrids and back.  The Appalachian-bred singer/songwriter’s vocals stay close to home while she reveals a bit of an eclectic bent, style-wise.  Straight-up contemporary folk- “You Say”, “Where I Stood”- sides up along tasty and tasteful roots/pop mixes- “Tell Me”, “Any Wonder”. The show stealers, however, are a pair of classic country torch ballads- “Go On Lovin’” and “Lullaby”, thanks to Ms. Freeman’s dreamy delivery.
