Real-deal “chitlin-circuit” blues is harder to come by by the day, let alone done up as strong and as stylish as Ms. Lynn and company do it here. The veteran vocalist’s warm, dusky delivery well serves a set of genre-savvy, mostly self-penned tunes.  Top tracks include “I’m Gonna Latch On”, “Messin’ Around With The Blues” and the title song.  Pianist Randy Wall stands out in a solid backup band. An early “Year’s Best” contender.
