Review of Album Live at Brighton Road

While Dani Wilde serves up a smoldering rendition of Memphis Minnie’s “Bumble Bee” and rocks respectably elsewhere on this set, it’s a pair of superbly arranged acoustic ballads that steal the show. “Glorious Day” and “The Living Years” are splendid vehicles for the display of both the charming delicacy and focused power of this British singer/guitarist’s vocals. Exceptionally tasty harmonica work on some tracks from Will Wilde is an added treat.
