Review of Album Lord of the Desert

Grounded as it is in American roots sounds, the music of 3hattrio can just as easily fit within the world music category.  Violin, guitar, banjo and acoustic bass- with the occasional electronic intervention- combine in compelling, trancelike soundscapes kindred in atmosphere to Eastern sounds while retaining their homeland character.  Strong stand-alone tracks include “Faith”, “I Am” and “Motel”.
