Review of Album Heart in a Mason Jar

There’s enough decent pickin’, fiddlin’ and barstool lamenting going on here for this Virginia-based outfit to get by quite well on their old-timey country style. But leader/songwriter Mr. Culbreth also proves adept at crafting ballads and taking dark, compelling turns as well. Standouts include “Heart In A Mason Jar”, “Drinkin’ ‘Bout You”, “I’m Going To Nashville” and “Daisy”.
