Glen Clark’s varied, roots-steeped resume shows by way of sturdy vocals, tight, savvy band play and especially via an absolutely slouch-free set list, all but one originals or collaborations, firmly grounded in country, soul or r&b regions.  An oft-covered songsmith whose list of associations is a name-dropper’s delight (Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt and Steve Cropper for a few), Mr. Clark’s offerings here could easily attract further attention from those in search of strong material.  Standouts in a great bunch include “I Can Tell By Looking”, “That’s Where You Come In” and the title track.
