Review of Album Take a Look in the Book

In addition to the plentitude of soul-rousing rave-ups one might expect from such a seasoned gospel group, the Legendary Ingramettes put an old-school spin on Bill Withers’ “Grandma’s Hands” that transcends the considerable punch of the original version.  The extended track “Beulah Land/I Wanna Go There” is a standout track as well on this thoroughly delightful set.
